Serving Southeast Michigan

While our Ann Arbor location is a central hub, Michigan Oral Surgeons is proud to serve the wider community through our network of offices. We bring high-level surgical care closer to home with three additional locations:

Comprehensive Oral Surgery Services

Our board-certified and board-eligible surgeons perform a full scope of oral and maxillofacial procedures. We focus on restoring function and aesthetics while prioritizing your long-term oral health.

Dental Implants

If you are missing one or more teeth, dental implants offer a permanent, natural-looking solution. Implants prevent bone loss and restore your ability to eat and smile with confidence. Whether you need a single tooth replacement or a complex restoration, we tailor the treatment to your needs. You can read about Steve’s experience with dental implants to see how this procedure changes lives.

Wisdom Teeth Removal

Third molars, or wisdom teeth, often cause crowding, infection, or impaction. We are experts in wisdom teeth removal, providing safe extraction with various anesthesia options to ensure comfort. We treat patients of all ages, from teenagers to adults. Check out Maya’s story or Asia’s experience at our Ann Arbor office to learn more about what to expect.

All-On-4® Treatment Concept

For patients requiring full-arch restoration, the All-On-4® treatment concept provides a brand new smile using just four strategically placed implants. This is an efficient, life-changing procedure for those transitioning from failing teeth or dentures.

Additional Specialized Procedures

  • Bone Grafting: To ensure you have sufficient bone density for implants, we perform advanced bone grafting procedures.
  • Tooth Extractions: When a tooth cannot be saved due to decay or trauma, we perform safe tooth extractions. See Mario’s extraction story for a patient perspective.
  • Impacted Tooth Exposure: We work with orthodontists to uncover impacted teeth, such as canines, to help them guide into place. Learn more about impacted tooth exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most people have or will have experienced wisdom teeth removal at some point in their life. Your dentist will monitor the growth and development of your wisdom teeth and refer you to an oral surgeon if they have determined removal is in the best interest of your oral health.
In general, wisdom teeth are removed some time during the early to mid-teen years, although some patients may require treatment outside of this range. The surgical procedure and recovery tend to be easier in younger patients.
Common complications of wisdom teeth include pain, infection, dental shifting, bite alignment problems, cysts and tumors, and more.
All surgery carries some degree of discomfort. It is our job as specialists and our mission as compassionate providers to make every effort to minimize this discomfort throughout the procedure and recovery process. We offer several forms of anesthesia to keep you comfortable during surgery and will send you home with post-operative instructions to optimize your healing.Let our office know right away if you are experiencing severe pain, swelling, or bleeding after surgery. We will address this issue promptly.
