Eating/Drinking – For patients having intravenous anesthesia, please abstain from food and drink for six (6) hours prior to your appointment for surgery.

Jewelry – Please remove ALL lip and tongue piercings and/or studs prior to arriving at the office for surgery.

Medications – Take all prescribed medication on the day of surgery unless specifically instructed by our surgeons to discontinue it prior to surgery. If you are receiving intravenous anesthesia, it is acceptable to take any medication with a small sip of water. Please bring a list of all current medications, dosage, and reason for use. This includes all prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal medications.

IV Anesthesia – Persons having anesthesia are required to have a responsible person present in the office for the duration of the procedure.
